Then, on January 12th, Audemars Piguet announced the new Code 11.59 line; with 13 new references and three brand new calibers. These watches are exemplified by their 41mm three-piece case; with the central case segment having multiple edges such as an octagon. They also feature a truly unique crystal that is domed from top to bottom but also "spherically" - this results in exceptional dial visibility with little or no distortion. Specifically, this article focuses on the new Audemars Piguet 11.59 Perpetual Calendar (Ref. 26394 OR.OO.D321CR.01) with red gold case and beautiful aventurine dial. This watch, instead of adopting a new movement, will use the AP caliber. 5134 which is also used in the Royal Oak perpetual calendar.
Particularly on this model, as it's using an existing caliber, it's all based on the case and dial. The three piece case adds a lot of visual interest to the watch with multiple tiers and tiers as you look at it, the lugs don't extend from the back of the case but meet it where it ends. The handles are also skeletonized allowing also a certain depth. The crystal designed for optimum visibility paired with a gorgeous aventurine dial is the real staple here, however. The dark night sky dial will really shine in this app, plus the red gold hands and contrasting white print should make it easy to read.
Audemars Piguet is calling the release of the 11.59 collection the most significant since they released Royal Oak in 1972. It may turn out to be true, but one thing is evident, AP wanted to be seen as waiting. These watches all have a sharp modern curve: I've always thought that Royal Oaks, more than the other Genta replica watches uk models, had a very modern appeal, and the 11.59-piece Code took it to another level.
